The Twenty-Third Judicial District Court is one of Louisiana’s 43 judicial districts and has original jurisdiction of all civil and criminal matters in Ascension, Assumption, and St. James Parishes. There are five elected judges (Division A through Division E) and one hearing officer in the Twenty-Third Judicial District.
